Ø      Network load Serviceability Analysis  (September 2014 – December 2014)

Technology used: Tableau, UML, python

Impact of network load on serviceability of voice and data calls is analyzed with cell level data logs that are collected from network management systems like Nokia’s Netact & Traffica.  This project involved in developing the predictive data models using big data analytics and machine learning algorithms.  Analysis was done using Decision Trees, Random Forest and Simple Vector machines (SVM).

Ø       E2E testing in lab with Nokia 3G and LTE network.

DEM modifies customer network parameters like QoS, bandwidth based on subscriber policy, subscriber viewing habits, network conditions and the type of the application the subscriber is using. Based on the predefined parameters subscribers would either continue to use UMTS/LTE network they are homed in or will be moved to the other network where congestion is low.   We have filed a patent on traffic steering.

Ø      Traffic Steering. October 2011 – August 2012

Traffic steering evaluates the load levels of the overlapping / neighboring cells of different RATs or hierarchy layers, the loads and capacities of their transmission networks, and  the actual usage (including the historical data) of their networking services by users. Traffic steering then decides to steer user terminals from a resource layer (RAT, or hierarchy layer) to another resource layer to maximize resource use and QoE for users. The steering can work for different goals set by operator. Traffic Steering balances the loads between the cells of different RATs and improves the QoE.

Responsibilities:

Mascon Communication Technologies - Role: Senior Software Engineer

(April 2000 to December 2002)

1.       AnyPath Migration Application

This project involved in migration of existing subscribers from Lucent proprietary Sierra CA machines to new ones Any Path machines. So this migration involved creating an application called AMA This application consisted of 3 modules source adapter, converter adapter and destination adapter. Source adapter fetches data from sierra, converter converts it from source format to destination format and destination puts the converted data into Any Path.

2.       Feature Execution Environment.

The Feature Execution Environment (FEE) is the logical execution environment for  the features developed by the Service Creation Environment.  The Service Creation Environment creates features like Basic call, call transfer, Call Hold. Whenever Parlay server sends event for a subscriber, FEE checks whether an event for a subscriber, FEE checks whether the subscriber is valid or not and features that he has subscribed to.  If the subscriber has subscribed to that feature, the dispatcher will dispatch the event to that feature, which can process  that event.

3.       Service Creation Environment.

The Service creation environment (SCE) is the creation environment for the features. The Service

Creation Environment creates features like Basic call, call transfer, Call Hold.Etc.

4.       Parlay Client Conformance Tool                                                 .

This is a tool which tests whether the parlay client developed by third party is parlay conformant or not.  This tool basically takes input from a script file, parses it and simulates events and waits for expected response.  This sends the events that will actually simulate the call.  In that way it can even tell for what all features it is parlay complaint and for what features its not.  It keeps track of no of valid responses and based on that it will decide whether it is parlay complaint or not.  This also checks whether parlay client is authorized or not.  This includes implementation of Mutltiparty call control services and frame work services.  This way communication between parlay client conformance tool and parlay client is CORBA.

5.       WAP Gateway

The project consisted of design and development of WAP Server and Gateway. The WAP Gateway consisted of SMS Box, Bearer Box and WAP box. TCP was used as communication protocol.

1.       Frequency Hopped Time Division Multiple Access

The objective of this project is to communicate with the remote station using the space Wave propagation with TDMA. This system can have one base and 16 remote station. It basically operates in one of the two modes: OW mode and BC mode. In the OW mode either base of remote can initiate the communication

2.       Digital loop Carrier on optical fiber cable

The main objective of this project (DLC) is to provide a solution in access network by  introducing optical fiber in local loop(exchange to subscriber loop. This system can be connected to various network topologies having a maximum of 16 remote terminals.

3.       Vehicle monitoring system
